If you’re like me (a terrible, pathetic, and anxious person), you probably forgot that you were supposed to buy gifts to your relatives for Christmas. However, you ended up reading the right article if you woke up from your existential nap and finally decided to buy some gifts. From a mix of travel and food books to video games, let’s dig right into it:
111 Places – Guidebooks for Locals & Experienced Travelers
One of the best travel series books I’ve ever read. From Edinburgh to Brooklyn or Paris, this series has it all! You should maybe try to offer one of them depending on the city where the recipient is living, or where he/she/they always wanted to visit, for example!

The Adventures of Tintin
It was one of my favourite comic books when I was a child, but that doesn’t mean that you cannot offer it to grownups! If you’re looking to offer a fun and easy read, you should go for this one!

A Woman Alone: Travel Tales from Around the Globe
If the recipient was always fascinated by solo travel, go with this book! This delightful collection of tales features anecdotal travel stories from 29 different women. With diverse backgrounds, personalities, and destinations, women from these tales will whet your appetite for solo travel!

Assassin’s Creed – Valhalla
One of the best video games on this wee Earth! The whole series is brilliant, and you’ll travel for sure with each version of Assassin’s Creed! But Valhalla is the most recent one, and I feel like not that much video games transport us to Nordic countries. So, if you like blood, war, murder, Vikings, and perhaps travel, go for it!

Red Dead Redemption 2
So, this one mixes history and travelling, which is great, right? You might be more familiar with the Grand Theft Auto (GTA) series, but Red Dead Redemption (RDR) is as great, even better if I dare say. You can ride a horse in the American Far West, kidnap people with a rope, be part of shootings in saloons… who could ask for more?

Animal Crossing: New Horizons
Living your traveller fantasy! If you’re looking for a game where you can catch insects and fish and develop a whole community on an island, this one is for you! What’s great is you can also play online and visit the islands of your friends, how cool is that?

Scratch Off Map of the World
A classic in the world of travel-inspired gifts! It should please any of your close ones who travel a lot. The recipient will be able to scratch off the countries he visited out of the map.

Interrail Global Pass
One of the best gifts you could offer to someone who is dreaming of visiting all Europan countries! The pass can take you to over 40,000 destinations across 33 countries in Europe by train. Map your whole route in advance or decide on the day – it’s up to the recipient!

SmartBox
If you know what someone likes, but you’re not sure which activity precisely would make them happy, why not offer this person a SmartBox? The concept is simple. The box offers the recipient the choice of an experience, which covers four main themes: Getaways, Gourmet, Pampering and Adventure. The choice is yours to decide which theme would best suit the needs of the receiver.

Eat Korean: Our home cooking & street food
An excellent and comprehensive book that will reveal any secrets Korean cuisine might have! If you know a person who’s found off Korea and always wanted to discover its gastronomy, this is the book you should go for! I used this cookbook as an example, but you could always offer any speciality cookbook, depending on what the person likes.

Cooking Class
It is a classic too! But really try to think about which cooking class specifically would interest most the person you like? Is it a foreign cooking class? Veggie class? Or maybe a gastronomic class? But whatever cooking class you chose, I’m sure the person you’re offering it to will be happy!

Fujifilm Instax Mini 90 NEO CLASSIC
It is actually my dream camera! It kind of depends on which style of pictures the recipient take and enjoy, but I always find it interesting to be able to develop your photos instantly during a trip. This camera combines a premium build quality with a stylish, retro design that offers a full range of functions!! It’s also super easy to pack on a travel bag.
